The homeowner had purchased the house without any information about the electrical, water or gas systems. Since we could not help much with the other systems, beyond connecting the bonding to the gas pipe, we provided a comprehensive analysis of the electrical installation.
Part of that inspection involved examining how the photovoltaic panels had been installed. We were told the waterproofing included some sections of extruded polystyrene, with the rest expanded. The client did not know where those sections were, and we had no direct access to the building's terrace, so we carried out the inspection using a drone fitted with an 8K camera.
The high resolution, and the ability to approach from several angles, gave us a detailed view of the installed components without bringing in a cherry picker or erecting external scaffolding. Disruption for the client was minimal and the results were conclusive.
