The most common request in these buildings is a full consumer unit replacement, driven not by a specific incident but by rising consumption: the owner has installed a boiler, an air conditioning unit, and a dishwasher, while the original wiring — sized for a fridge and a television — shows clear signs of overload.

Something we check systematically in this area is whether the building still runs on a TN-C earthing arrangement, with no separate protective conductor. In many blocks, the earthed socket outlet is physically present but isn't connected to any earthing system.

The houses in Tei, Fundeni and Doamna Ghica

The house-dominated areas of Sector 2 combine older construction with extensions built over the past twenty years. We frequently find a modest original installation onto which an attic conversion, a garage, a workshop in the yard, and in some cases a second dwelling connected to the same service line, have all been added over time.

In these situations, the priority isn't choosing the right protective devices — it's checking whether the service line and the earth electrode can still handle current consumption. In most cases they can't, and the work has to start with the earthing system.

Commercial spaces in Obor and Floreasca

In the Obor area we frequently work on small commercial units, where the actual load often exceeds the estimates written into the lease: refrigerated display cases, ovens, electric cooking equipment. We take measurements before proposing a solution, because in food retail actual consumption differs significantly from the numbers on paper.

In Floreasca, the work is generally on offices and apartments undergoing a full renovation, where the main requirement is a well-organized consumer unit, properly labelled and sized with headroom for future additions.
