Electrical Remediation

Electrical problems don't fix themselves. We diagnose accurately, resolve completely, and leave your installation safe, compliant, and certified — no corners cut.

Remediation is about solving problems — and solving them properly. Whether you've received an unsatisfactory inspection report, noticed warning signs in your property, or inherited an electrical system of unknown age and condition, we'll carry out a thorough diagnosis and give you a clear picture of what needs to be done and why.

We don't believe in alarming clients into unnecessary work. Our assessments are honest: we'll tell you what genuinely needs addressing immediately, what can wait, and what is simply an advisory recommendation. That approach has built us a reputation as electricians people trust.

Once the scope is agreed, we execute the remediation systematically, testing as we go. Every job ends with a new compliance certificate confirming the installation is safe — giving you the documentation you need for insurance, property transactions, and regulatory compliance.

Our Process

From fault identification to compliance sign-off — a clear, structured approach to resolving electrical problems.

1

Diagnosis & Fault Finding

We carry out a methodical electrical investigation to identify the root cause of the problem — not just the visible symptom. This is where getting things right starts.

2

Condition Assessment

We assess the broader state of the installation around the fault — checking whether related systems are also affected or at risk. Problems rarely exist in isolation.

3

Remediation Plan

We present a clear written plan covering exactly what needs to be done, in what order, and at what cost. We separate urgent safety issues from advisory improvements.

4

Phased Works Execution

Remediation is carried out systematically, with testing at each stage. For larger jobs, we phase the work to minimise disruption and keep the property safe throughout.

5

Testing & Verification

Every remediated circuit and connection is retested to confirm it meets the required standards. We don't move on until the test results say it's right.

6

Compliance Sign-Off

On completion, you receive an updated satisfactory electrical inspection certificate — the formal documentation that the installation is now safe and compliant.

Frequently Asked

Common warning signs include: circuit breakers that trip frequently, lights that flicker or dim unexpectedly, burning smells from outlets or the fuse box, discolouration or scorch marks around switches and sockets, buzzing or crackling sounds from the panel, and outlets that feel warm to the touch. Any of these is a reason to have your system inspected by a licensed electrician promptly.
Contact us with a copy of the report and we'll review the findings with you. C1 items (immediate danger) should be addressed as a priority — in serious cases the supply may need to be isolated until they're resolved. C2 items (potentially dangerous) should be addressed within 7 days. We'll give you a clear quote for the remediation work and a realistic timeline.
This depends on your specific policy and the nature of the damage. Electrical faults caused by insured events (such as fire, flood, or storm damage) are often covered. General deterioration due to age is typically not. We can provide the documentation your insurer needs — including inspection reports and remediation certificates — to support a claim where one applies.
