Electrical Maintenance

Scheduled inspections, routine testing, and rapid emergency response — keeping your electrical systems safe, compliant, and running without interruption.

Electrical systems require regular attention to remain safe and efficient. Components wear over time, connections loosen, insulation degrades, and demand patterns change as properties evolve. A maintenance programme catches these issues early — before they become faults, failures, or safety hazards.

We offer both reactive and planned maintenance for residential and commercial clients. For commercial properties and landlords, we can set up an annual maintenance contract that covers scheduled inspections, EICR reporting, and priority response times for emergency callouts — removing the administrative burden of managing compliance from your plate.

Our engineers carry diagnostic equipment on every visit, so minor issues identified during a routine inspection can often be resolved on the same day without a return visit.

Our Process

A typical scheduled maintenance visit — from booking through to your updated compliance certificate.

1

Book an Inspection

Contact us to schedule a visit. For contract clients, we manage the scheduling calendar on your behalf and send reminders before each inspection is due.

2

Thorough Visual & Electrical Testing

Our engineer carries out a full visual inspection and electrical test of all circuits, protection devices, earthing, and bonding connections.

3

Detailed Condition Report

You receive a written EICR report with all findings categorised by urgency (C1, C2, C3) and clearly explained in plain language — not just technical jargon.

4

Agree Remediation Priorities

We walk through any findings with you, explain the risk level of each, and agree a realistic plan and timeline for any remedial work required.

5

Remedial Works

Minor issues are often resolved on the same visit. Larger remediation requirements are scoped and quoted separately — we never inflate scope to generate extra work.

6

Updated Compliance Certificate

Once any required remediation is complete, we issue an updated satisfactory EICR certificate — your proof of compliance for insurers, landlords, and regulators.

Frequently Asked

For owner-occupied residential properties, every 1 year is the general recommendation. Rental properties should be inspected every 6 months or at each change of tenancy. Commercial premises vary by type — most should be inspected every year. We'll advise the right interval for your specific situation.
Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts for landlords managing multiple properties and for commercial clients. Contracts include scheduled inspections, priority emergency response, and a compliance management service — we track what's due and when, so you don't have to. Thermal imaging uses a specialist camera to detect heat signatures that indicate electrical problems — loose connections, overloaded circuits, failing components — that are invisible to the naked eye and often undetectable by standard testing. It's particularly valuable for commercial switchgear, distribution boards, and any high-load installation where a fault could cause significant downtime or damage.

When did your system last get checked?
