To increase the efficiency of some heavy-duty equipment, the customer needed to install a power factor correction device. This cut their energy bill almost in half.
Our team planned the work with modularity in mind. That let us ship the system partially assembled and keep downtime to a minimum, so the impact on the production floor stayed small. A full electrical outage was still scheduled with the customer at a later date for the final connection.
The system successfully corrected both capacitive and inductive three-phase loads of up to 35 kVAR.
